French Stockman’s Knife

The “French Stockman’s knife” is also known as the Laguiole. It originated from the small village called Laguiole located in Southern France in the 19th century. The “Laguiole”, was developed by workers to perform the many tasked involved in the care and handling of livestock. The modern Laguiole is easily identified by the “bee symbol” mounted on the top of the lock. It’s a sturdy but elegant knife. It comes with an “all leather” sheath and has been refined over many decades to become an excellent knife for both indoor and outdoor activities. The knife can be easily attached to your belt or keep in your pocket or stored in a purse. The knife comes in an assortment of styles and colors. The knife handle is made of a variety of materials (horn. bone, solid wood, micarta wood, metals, and high impact plastics). Blades come in either a 440 stainless steel or Damascus 1095 and 15n20 steel which is formed with a “twisting” forging technique. The knife is hand forged and hand made in Pakistan according to our unique Red Duck Knives brand Specifications.
